Metal roofing has become more and more popular with government incentives subsidizing part of the new roof. Further, the durability and longevity of aluminum and stone coated steel roofing in general have made it a favorite for homeowners and contractors alike. Aluminum roofing is very versatile in that it can be molded to just about any roof and resists rust extremely well. Stone coated steel has various profiles and can resist weather as well.

In some cases, metal roofing systems can be installed over an existing roofing system, saving money. Metal roofs come in two major forms:

Standing Seam:
Standing seam roofs consist of a metal roof panels cut to size and run down the roof from the ridge to the edge of the roof. Standing seam panels can be fastened with exposed or hidden fasteners.

Stone Coated Steel:
Stone coated steel combines the durability of steel with the rust protection of chemical layers of coating. Stone coated steel can be fashioned to look like barrel tile, shingles or even shake.
