A home without windows is just, well, a box. Fenestration (the arrangement of windows and doors) lets in light, enhances your home’s aesthetic appeal, frames your views, improves energy efficiency, and promotes natural ventilation while protecting your family from the elements. Take it a step further, well-designed windows and doors can transform the look and feel of your living spaces.

Successful window and door installation begins long before the first product is delivered.
Every project begins with an on-site evaluation; our Field Supervisor reviews frame and glass colors, glass types, grid patterns, configurations, sizes, and installation preferences. Site conditions are assessed both inside and outside of your home to confirm readiness for installation. This step guarantees accuracy and a smooth process moving forward.
After the final measurement, our production team reviews every detail, makes necessary adjustments, and requests third-party engineering verification to make sure our products meet local building codes. Every element is checked before placing your order, so your windows and doors are manufactured to the highest standards.
For homes within a Homeowners Association (HOA), our team handles all documentation required for Architectural Review Board (ARB) approval to prevent delays and meet community standards. Once HOA approvals are complete, your items are ordered in order to ensure they comply with your HOA requirements. Once permits are approved and items arrive, installation is scheduled.
To guarantee a seamless experience, we verify every detail one last time before scheduling your installation.
Precision, protection, and quality at every step are our installation process priorities. Before work begins, our Project Manager visits your home to label every opening and confirm all project details for an efficient workflow.
Before work commences, we protect your home with full containment measures, safeguarding floors, furniture, and other surfaces throughout the installation. To provide secure anchor points, each opening receives pressure-treated bucking that meets or exceeds code requirements, and sills are reinforced with high-strength, rapid-setting concrete – a step we perform on every project, even when local codes don’t require it.
Exterior surfaces are sealed with polyurethane caulking for durability, while interiors receive premium caulking. This flexible, paintable, energy-efficient, solution blocks air, moisture, and dust for long-term performance.

Your Project Manager verifies that every window and door is correctly installed, aligned with specifications, and meets code requirements. We schedule your final inspection with the local building department and oversee the process to ensure code compliance.
As we get through this phase, you’ll notice that we’ve left stickers on some of the installed elements – while they seem unsightly, they are necessary until the inspection process is complete. We’ll ask that you leave all stickers in place until approval is granted.
Following inspection approval, we remove stickers, install screw covers, and complete final detailing, leaving your home polished and complete. You’ll receive a comprehensive end-of-project packet that includes Garabar’s warranty and all manufacturer warranties, giving you confidence in your investment.
With every detail carefully verified and every window and door installed to exacting standards, you can enjoy the full benefits of your investment.
Beyond the tangible improvements, the process itself is designed to be stress-free. By managing everything from planning and permitting to installation and final inspection, we take the guesswork and worry out of home improvement. Every step is coordinated with precision, leaving you with a finished product that not only meets code requirements, but also exceeds expectations in performance and design.
