Window Installation
Checklist

Planning Phase

Goal: Make decisions, confirm details, and get your home ready for installation.

  • Approve style & features (colors, glass type, grids, configuration, sizes).
  • HOA/ARB approvals: submit documents/sign approvals to avoid delays.
  • Final measure review: confirm purchase order matches selections before ordering.
  • Site access: clear furniture, décor, and window treatments from work areas.
Tip: Speak up! Clear communication now prevents changes later

Installation Phase

Goal: Be mindful of construction areas, for your safety.

  • Move valuables and arrange pets away from work zones.
  • Keep work areas clear to prevent damage and injuries.
  • Confirm schedule and duration; ask any questions.
  • Test each window/door: open, close, and lock for smooth operation.
Tip: Clear spaces help the crew work efficiently

Inspection Phase

Goal: Confirm everything is complete to your expectations and maintain records.

  • Leave stickers/labels in place until final inspection is approved.
  • Attend final walkthrough with your Project Manager; practice using locks/handles.
  • Store warranties and documentation in a safe place.
Tip: Keep records for resale and possible insurance discounts

Maintenance Phase

Goal: Keep your windows and doors looking great and functioning their best.

  • Clean on a schedule and when visibly dirty.
  • Use microfiber + non-abrasive glass cleaner inside; outside use commercial cleaner or DIY (5 gal water + 1 tsp dish soap, or 1:1 vinegar/water).
  • Avoid cleaning in direct sunlight.
  • Dry fully with a clean microfiber towel for a streak-free finish.
Tip: Use a ladder stabilizer for safer access in hard-to-reach areas
